How we do it

The Needs We Address

By connecting available resources with those who need them most, we help make sure every community member can live with a sense of security and dignity.

Food Insecurity

1 in 8 individuals face food insecurity. The average family of four in Canada is expected to spend $16,297.20 on food in 2024, an increase of up to $701.79 from 2023.

1/3 of food produced goes to waste. The hospitality industry in Canada alone generates $7 billion worth of avoidable food waste annually.

Volunteer sorting donated clothing and personal care items

Clothing and Personal Care Supplies

1 in 5 low-income Canadians struggle to afford basic hygiene products. The average household spends $3,400 annually on clothing and personal care items—costs prohibitive for many vulnerable families.

Nearly 85% of all textiles end up in landfills. Retailers discard $15 billion worth of unsold personal care products annually due to damaged packaging or approaching expiration dates.

Our Causes

How We Help

Giving2 Volunteer distributes care package

Distributing Essential Resources

  • We join forces with local businesses and community organizations to collect available food, clothing, and personal care items.
  • Items are delivered directly to partner agencies so that everyday essential needs are met quickly and with compassion.
Social worker checks in on family

Community Support Services

  • We support programs that go beyond items—offering group meetings, practical workshops, and one‑on‑one support that help build stability.
  • Our approach is personal and community‑driven, ensuring that help feels as supportive as a friendly neighbor.
Measuring the Impact of our Programs
